Biography
Bill is the senior member of Thoits, Love, Hershberger & McLean’s Litigation Group. He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, after graduating from Hastings College of the Law. Bill specializes in the prosecution and defense of business, intellectual property and professional liability litigation, He has tried more than 100 jury trials. Judges and fellow attorneys frequently refer complex litigation matters to him. Bill is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers. He has lectured before California lawyers through the Continuing Education of the Bar in the fields of wrongful termination, punitive damages, jury instructions, remedies for breach of contract, legal malpractice, and legal ethics and has taught at the Hastings College of Trial Advocacy.
